“Parable of a Brown Girl Book Club” Parent Information Mtg

INSPIRE by L.E.S.U.R.E., Inc., in partnership with Peaceful Connections Counseling and Consulting Services, PLLC, cordially invite teen girls of color in grades 9-12th to join us this summer for a virtual book club. Together, we will explore the “Parable of a Brown Girl”, written by author and youth advocate Khristi Lauren Adams. Throughout this study, Adams will introduce our young female readers to the resilience, struggle and the hope that comes alive when young women of color are no longer relegated to the margins.
We invite parents and/or guardians with teen girls of color in grades 9-12th to join us for a brief informational meeting on Sunday, May 23rd @ 3:00pm EST to learn more about the details of this virtual summer book club, topics to be discussed, and how your teen(s) can partake in this FREE exciting and facilitated peer group.
